Luke Nix technical account manager

Hello! I'm Luke, technical account manager at bzb IT

I work closely with our clients to support, advise, and deliver solutions that help them get the most from their IT. With a strong technical background and a calm, approachable style, I build trusted relationships and ensures clients always feel supported.

What is your favourite aspect of working at bzb IT?

I enjoy working with like-minded people who share the same passion for delivering great IT Support whilst also building long-term relationships with our clients. We have a strong sense of camaraderie in the team, where everyone is supported and feels valued for their role in bzb IT. The people are what make working at bzb IT great, and adding like-minded clients makes it an even better place to work. I know so many people who wake up in the morning and don’t want to go to work, but I can’t say the same!

Why should clients choose to work with bzb IT?

We are a genuine team of experts that want to deliver IT differently. Being experts in our field is important to us, but just as important is building lasting long term partnerships with our clients who have the upmost trust in us. You’ll get to know our team on a first-name basis, and you’ll pick up the conversation from where you last left it off. We fix issues once and correctly, there is no bodge job. If you’re looking for a team that always goes above and beyond for their customers, then look no further than bzb IT.

You’ve been at bzb for a while, what phase was your favorite and why?

When we moved to our new home at Kelso Place, this was my favourite phase. We were previously in a small 4-desk office, in a shared building. I remember when we got the keys for Kelso, Sam and I the next day, we were in the office, building two desks and setting up a 4G router, because we were so excited to move in. For a good while, it was just two desks in a big office with a 4G router. Fast forward and we’ve now created an office space that people want to work from and expanded into Bristol as we ran out of room in Bath!

What do you usually do to switch your brain off?

To switch my brain off, I like to go fishing from time to time. I disconnect from technology and everything going on in my personal life and just relax. The only thought that goes through my head is…. Why am I not catching anything! Other than that, it’s a great way to clear the mind.

Life beyond the office

Outside of work, I enjoy spending time with my girlfriend, dragging her to car boot sales. I love the haggle and discovering bargains, like the bouncy castle I found for £10 that fills my whole garden! I enjoy travelling to new places and new experiences, no distance is too far, I recently drove to Scotland, because why not! Sometimes you may find me at a lake, as I like to do some carp fishing from time to time. Some may say, all the gear and no idea! A few years ago, I used to present on radio and won a Sony Radio Award. One day I hope to get back into it, through our Radio Bath Patronship, I still get to dabble in the world of Radio.
