Hello! I'm Alfie, marketing executive at bzb IT
I lead on the strategy and delivery of our brand communications via multiple marketing channels. Attempting to bring fresh energy to the role and have had years of experience alongside my (BA Hons) Business and Management with Marketing degree. My key deliverables range across campaign and technical marketing.
What is your favourite aspect of working at bzb IT?
My role. I honestly love my role within the company, I have able opportunities to get involved with every part of the business and marketing. It’s exciting working on projects that not every marketeer is going to have the access to do, sometimes I may be setting up and sitting in on podcast recordings, contributing to website development projects, enhancing internal communication material, building out marketing strategies and much more. I’m still very early in my career, so I couldn’t have landed in a better position. Oh, and did I mention that the bzb team are awesome too!
Why should clients choose to work with bzb IT?
It’s incredibly difficult to put into words why bzb is different, without sounding like you are rattling off the most generic marketing terms. Though when I say that our whole team genuinely cares about building relationships, providing absolutely value and ultimately delivering sizable change to organisations daily operations… I mean it. Our work culture is also fantastic, again, not in the overused buzzword sense, but the fact that everyone is on their own individual journey too, supported by the business. That means roles such as your technical consultants, aren’t sales teams, they are individuals who have worked incredibly hard to build knowledge, certifications and skills to help guide your organisation on their IT journey.
What do you enjoy most about telling the bzb story?
It’s an interesting one, as B2B marketing is already fairly tough to nail, and when you add a technical based service into that, I think it takes another step up. So my favourite part is celebrating success. 1000 fancy graphics may help the brand look great, though one testimonial from an actual organisation we have helped, holds more value than even the most polished graphics. People buy from people, so celebrating the work of our team has been, and will always be, the most enjoyable part.
How would you spend a perfect Sunday?
Sunday, my second favourite day of the week. On my perfect Sunday, I’d probably wake up around 10am, enjoying a couple of slices of toast, before relaxing in the garden (I surely get to control the weather in this right? If so, 27 degrees and sunny). At around 1pm, I’d hopefully venture off for a roast dinner with great company (highly recommend ‘The Fromeway’ in Radstock), and then spend the afternoon enjoying the sunshine, playing board games, playing guitar and listening to music. I’d probably chuck in a cheeky Arsenal 5-0 win over Chelsea, so I have something to remind Alex of on the following Monday.
Life beyond the office
Outside of work I enjoy being… well, outside, especially during the summer of course. I love seeing new places, disappearing to countryside pubs and ultimately re-energising myself through nature. In the evenings I enjoy gaming, though admittedly that tends to be fifa or scouting out new holiday destinations on Microsoft Flight Simulator (I can’t be the only one who does this, right?). I also enjoy watching the football, in-person and on TV, though being and Arsenal fan who has to enter the ballots, you can probably guess which one of those two I do the most.
